Bell Tents & arctic cabin

Everything you love about camping without having to set up your own tent or pack the whole house and kitchen sink. We provide everything you need for a relaxing, hassle-free stay, with a bit of indulgence thrown in for good measure. We have a luxury canvas bell tent from Bell Tent UK and a super cosy Arctic cabin, complete with a huge log burning stove and plenty of home comforts. All glamping bookings are for a minimum of 2 nights.

With spacious and private camping pitches, Once Upon a Fell offers a little piece of Cumbrian calm. Overlooking rolling hills and farmland and with views of Ingleborough, the Howgills and Lake District Fells, it’s the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings.

The Sheep pen

  • Built in 2022, our cosy Arctic camping cabin is called The Sheep Pen as it’s always been a little nook of the farm that is used for new born lambs and their mums. If you visit us in spring time then you may well have some very adorable neighbours! With private facilities and views towards Ingleborough and the Yorkshire Dales.
  • Unique log cabin set in its own private garden
  • Double bed with 1000 pocket sprung mattress
  • Two single bed options (for children)

Private field with one furnished bell tent, one empty bell tent and space for your friends to bring their own tents too! With the fell on one side and stunning views of Ingleborough, the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District fells on the other.

  • Tents only – we have car park parking available for small campervans but no access to the pitches for vehicles. However, our sister site have 2 campervan pitches so please contact us if your group includes small campervans
